Toasty Warm

I don't know whether I under dressed last Saturday or whether it was particularly freezing but even with the heater on in the shop I couldn't get warm.  (People who know me will not be surprised by this)

After suffering for a couple of hours I decided to pop on some of our leg warmers.  I can't tell you what a difference it made - by the way I wore them as arm warmers, not on my legs you will be pleased to know.

I managed to survive the day and thought I'd post about them as a thank you.  So if you're suffering this winter pop in a grab some leg warmers for your kids then pinch them for yourself.  It's a win/win situation as they'll love you for buying them a pressie and you'll get a fabulous new accessory. 

 

Ssshhh! Lofty's Sleeping

 

No sooner did I decide to do a post about David Fussenegger, than in strolled Lofty with his very own.  What a perfect model for these fabulous blankets. Unfortunately he wasn't up for a chat but I'm assured that he loves it.

We've got some lovely new designs in and if there is something you'd like that we don't have just ask Mick and he'll make sure we get it in for you.

While I was instore today one of CHALK's special friends, Ed came by.  She was telling me about her favourite CHALK thing for this week and said that she finds something new every week that she falls in love with ... so I thought we would have Ed's Pick Of The Week.

Paper Eskimo have developed these fabulous paper flags.  They come in a pad of 100 assorted flags and are only $9.00!!  The string I've hung up here is the girls version and this is about half of the pack.  What a fantastic way to brighten up a room or decorate for a party for under ten bucks. 

ITCHie Feet

I love it when new stock arrives half way through a season.  Just as I start getting bored, something new comes in to perk me up.  This week it was ITCH.  A small range but a good one I think.  The toucan windcheater looks particularly cute on as it has little frills on the shoulder to girlie it up.

CHALK In The Real World

One of our favourite customers, Miss Meg, has a party on this weekend.  A disco party no less.  She needed something new to freshen up her wardrobe so her Mum kindly dropped in on Saturday to find her a dress for the occasion. 

Monstar proved to be a winner and when she tried it on at home Miss Meg sent me a photo so I could see her in it.

Thanks Miss Meg, you look gorgeous.

Miss Ruby May

   

We have some new friends visiting us at CHALK at the moment although I'm sure they won't stay long.  They have taken up residence and have made themselves very much at home.  The other toys think they're very glamorous and are still a little shy around them but I did notice Jemima sidling up for a closer look at their outfits. 

I've christened them Milly, Molly and Mandy because it's very impolite to just say 'Hey you' when calling someone.

I think I should have asked more of them to stay as I have a feeling one may leave with Eliza when she works tomorrow!  I know I was itching to pop one in my bag when I left today but that hardly seems fair when they were invited for your sake, not mine.

          

My Fashionista

 

After school today the kids and I dropped in to the shop to drop off some stock.  It is quite rare to have both kids with me at CHALK as Gidget is usually at school.  She took the opportunity to try on some clothes while we were there and came away with three items that she loved.  Here she is wearing her new Monstar windcheater and her new skinny leg OUCH jeans.  She's pretty happy with herself, and I'm rapt as she's reached the age where she's become very particular and very rarely likes anything.  Hopefully tomorrow I'll get a photo of her in the third item - an ITCH jumper.

Oh and sorry for the quality of the snaps - they were taken on my phone.

Stuck on wall stickers

Here are some lovely photos of Hayley Blease's nursery.  The girls at Kenzie Poo blog did a lovely story on Hayley but the reason I noticed these shots particularly is because of the wall decals.
